10 Before 10
Those of you that know me, know that I am not a morning person. If I could, I would sleep until noon every day! But, they say the early bird catches the worm, and there's a good reason for that. Establishing a productive morning routine sets the tone for the rest of my day. By making the most of the hours before 10 AM, I boost my productivity, improve my mood, and increase my overall well-being. In this blog post, I'll share ten things I do before 10 AM to help kickstart my day.
10 Things To Do Before 10am:
Make Your Bed and Open the Shades: Small Wins Matter
Making your bed is a small task that can give you a sense of accomplishment early in the morning. Opening the shades allows natural light to flood your space, signaling your body that it's time to wake up.
Drink a Glass of Water: Rehydrate Your Body
After hours of sleep, your body is dehydrated. Drinking a glass of water as soon as you wake up helps kickstart your metabolism, rehydrate your body, and improve cognitive function.
List for the Day: Set Your Priorities
Before diving into work, make a to-do list for the day. Identify your top priorities and set clear goals. This will help you stay focused and organized throughout the day.
Write/Say Affirmations: Positive Start
Start your day with positive affirmations. Write down or say aloud affirmations that inspire and motivate you. This can set a positive tone for your day and boost your self-confidence.
Exercise: Start with a Morning Workout
One of the best ways to energize your day is to exercise in the morning. Whether it's a quick jog, a yoga session, or some bodyweight exercises, getting your blood flowing early can boost your mood and increase your alertness.
Morning Chore: Tidy Up Your Space
Spend a few minutes doing a quick morning chore, like loading the dishwasher or tidying up a room. A clean and organized space can help reduce stress and increase productivity.
Tea/Breakfast: Fuel Your Body
Have a nutritious breakfast or a cup of tea to fuel your body for the day ahead. A balanced breakfast provides the energy you need to stay focused and alert.
Devotional/Prayer: Nourish Your Soul
Take a moment for reflection, prayer, or a devotional. This can be a peaceful and grounding way to start your day, helping you connect with God and find clarity.
Get Ready: Dress for Success
Dressing up, even if you're working from home, can help you feel more put together and ready to take on the day. Take a shower, choose a comfortable yet presentable outfit, and groom yourself to boost your confidence.
Say "I Love You" and Hug Your Loved Ones
Before you or your loved ones rush out the door, take a moment to express love and affection to your family. A simple "I love you" and a hug can strengthen your bonds and start the day on a positive note.
